"This summer I'll be traveling the luxurious East Coast for two weeks. I'll journey from Jacksonville, FL to Toronto and then back down to Tampa. The plan is to attend four USMNT games and hopefully catch a couple of other surprises."

What
does the future of US Soccer hold? Who knows. But I'm trying to guess
my way to it. I'm projecting the remaining caps for every US prospect
through math, believe it or not. I'm basing it off FIFA ratings, as
they're pretty universal and fairly decent. I give each player a current
rating and an expected rating. (Pretty bold, I know!) There's more to
this formula but the basic formula looks something like
(Rating - 66) = # of caps that year
There's
a max of 12 caps per year. (America played 17 games in 2011, 14 in
2010, and are looking at around 16 games for 2012.) Obviously you can't
get negative caps. And a couple of other odds and ends but basically
that's it. I tally it all up and there ya go! At the end I put little
notes on the players. Sometimes videos appear.

::::: Get to Know Your... MLS Goalie Rankings :::::
MLS Goalie Rankings was one of my many projects. I awarded points for various things MLS goalkeepers did (mainly saves) and added them all up. It was an attempt to see which goalkeeper really deserved the Best Goalie of the Year award. Or whatever it's called. It was very time consuming and ultimately it fell to the wayside. Maybe when I become a billionaire I will bring this back.
